The challenge
WorldFirst is a B2B payments platform requiring targeted advertising toward business users rather than consumers. The challenge involved reaching the right audience at optimal times across multiple languages and cultural contexts to support global expansion.
Our approach
We leveraged our multilingual, culturally diverse team to create highly targeted, fine-tuned advertising campaigns. The strategy focused on business-oriented user targeting rather than individual consumers, capitalising on WorldFirst's advertising spend across new international markets.
The result
We facilitated WorldFirst's expansion into 16 new markets across 12 languages through PPC and awareness campaigns. The company achieved rapid market share growth, culminating in a US$700 million acquisition by Ant Financial (Alibaba subsidiary) in 2019. The partnership began in June 2015 and continues to the present day.
